Lighthouse Guild Tele-Support Network for Parents of Children with Albinism
Our friends at the Lighthouse Guild invite you to join their upcoming tele-support call for parents of children with albinism:
Thursday, January 23rd
8:30PM – 9:30PM EST
Topic: Advocacy and Parenting a Child with Albinism
What is Advocacy? Whether it is teaching your child self advocacy skills or advocating yourself, knowing how to navigate advocacy is an important topic for our kids. Join us for a discussion on understanding what advocacy is and how to cope with feelings that arise from it.
To join this tele-support group, please fill out the enrollment form, and the group facilitator will contact you with more information.
Lighthouse Guild’s Tele-Support Network connects parents from across the country with other parents whose children have a similar diagnosis. They offer a free, professionally facilitated tele-support group designed specifically for parents of children of all ages with albinism. This group provides a safe environment where parents can build a support network to voice concerns, ask questions, share experiences, and hear from professional guest speakers. Whether you choose to actively participate or just listen, you are welcome and not alone!
To join this tele-support group, please fill out the enrollment form, and the group facilitator will contact you with more information. Meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month at 8:30PM ET.
