Lighthouse Guild Tele-Support Network for Parents of Children with Albinism
Our friends at the Lighthouse Guild invite you to join their upcoming tele-support call for parents of children with albinism:
Thursday, February 20th
8:30PM – 9:30PM EST
Featuring Guest Speaker: Marjorie Wood, M.Ed, COMS, TVI
Ms. Wood has been a long time friend of the Albinism Community and NOAH. Ms. Wood enjoys teaching Orientation and Mobility to Children and their families. She works with young children from infancy all the way to high school in TX. Ms. Wood is a guest lecturer at the University of Texas, Austin and is an O&M consultant in the US and Guatemala. Ms. Wood is an American Federation of the Blind (AFB) FamilyConnect Contributing Expert and has written for the Texas Sensibilities, a publication from the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired Outreach Program. Her main interests are in the areas of EI, O&M best practices and with families.
Please join this call to learn more about how to support our children through as they grow through the lens of an O&M. If you have specific questions prior to the group, please feel free to email parentgroups@lighthouseguild.org beforehand.

Lighthouse Guild’s Tele-Support Network connects parents from across the country with other parents whose children have a similar diagnosis. They offer a free, professionally facilitated tele-support group designed specifically for parents of children of all ages with albinism. This group provides a safe environment where parents can build a support network to voice concerns, ask questions, share experiences, and hear from professional guest speakers. Whether you choose to actively participate or just listen, you are welcome and not alone!
To join this tele-support group, please fill out the enrollment form, and the group facilitator will contact you with more information. Meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month at 8:30PM ET.
