Nuala Stanghellini
A hearty congratulations to Nuala Stanghellini, the 2024 recipient of the McGowan Leadership Scholarship. Nuala has long contributed to NOAH programming, including as a dancer in NOAHCon opening ceremonies, a member of the virtual choir, a writer for Albinism InSight, and a participant in Teens Connections calls. Nuala has spoken out through her Instagram on the problems and opportunities facing people with disabilities in STEM fields. She plans to study math, computer science, and/or education in college starting this fall. Thank you, Nuala, for setting such a bright example for the albinism community!
Meet the 2024 Honorable Mention Applicant
Congratulations ALSO, to Zachary Graham, who received the Honorable Mention of NOAH’s Michael J. McGowan Leadership Scholarship this year. A lifelong participant in NOAH programming, Zachary has presented at NOAHCon on the iPad and transitioning to college from high school. Zachary is a seasoned swimmer, a Dean’s List student at Virginia Tech, and an aspiring civil engineer.
The Michael J. McGowan Leadership Scholarship is awarded annually to empower young people with albinism and celebrate their dedication and outstanding leadership qualities.
