Brandi attended her first NOAH national conference as an adult and has been an active contributor ever since. Brandi is passionate about advocacy because of the amount of support she was fortunate to receive throughout her life with albinism. She has committed her life to supporting and advocating for women as a Certified Birth Doula and Lactation Counselor student. 

Brandi became the first blind athlete to win an Olympic Weightlifting medal in the USAW and continues to use the sport and platform to encourage other people with albinism to challenge the limits of the condition.
