Our Social Activities Coordinators have created a fun and welcoming lineup of activities designed to help attendees connect, relax, and build community. Whether you’re looking for adventure, creativity, or simply time to socialize with friends old and new, these optional activities offer something for everyone. Arrive early to enjoy pre-conference fun or reserve your spot in one of the exciting conference add-ons!

These activities will proceed rain or shine unless weather conditions pose a safety risk as determined by the activity provider or event organizers. In cases of severe weather, activities may be delayed, adjusted, or canceled at the discretion of the vendor. Participants should plan accordingly and dress for changing summer weather conditions in the Midwest.
Meet Our Social Activities Coordinators ~ Nick & Rebecca Smith

Nick and Rebecca Smith live in Delaware, Ohio, just north of Columbus, and are both dedicated professionals in the field of education. Nick is a school psychologist, and Rebecca is a Teacher for the Visually Impaired, Assistive Technology Specialist, and Orientation and Mobility student. Nick grew up in California and moved to Ohio after graduate school in 2016, while Rebecca has called Ohio home her entire life.
Both Nick and Rebecca attended their first NOAH Conference in 2012 in St. Louis—where they also first met. Since then, they have remained actively connected to the albinism community and have become increasingly involved with NOAH over the years. Their involvement began with helping to plan the 2019 Adult Weekend in Atlanta, and they have since served on the Adult Weekend planning committee and assisted with portions of adult programming for the 2024 NOAH Conference.
Outside of their professional roles, Nick and Rebecca both volunteer with Adaptive Sports Connection, supporting inclusive recreational opportunities for individuals with disabilities. This year, they are excited to help support social programming and activities and to welcome attendees to Columbus. They are especially thrilled to introduce their daughter, Abby, born in September 2025, to the NOAH family and to share this conference experience with her.
