CALL FOR PROPOSALS
The National Organization for Albinism and Hypopigmentation (NOAH) is currently accepting proposals for both community session presentations and scientific presentations & posters at our NOAHCon 2026 National Conference at the Hilton Columbus Downtown in Columbus, OH, July 16-19, 2026.

WHO CAN PRESENT:
This is an open call. NOAH welcomes professionals, vendors, and our community members to submit proposals for sessions and poster presentations at NOAHCon 2026.
PRESENTER REGISTRATION FEES AND DISCOUNTS:
Presenters are offered a reduced conference registration fee* (code provided upon approval). The reduced presenter registration fee grants not only the same complete access to all conference activities and events as the attendee registration fee, but also highlights your role at the conference as a valued presenter.
PRELIMINARY SCHEDULE:
Pre-Conference Workshops will take place Thursday, July 16th and the Opening Session will kick-off the conference on Thursday evening. Educational sessions will continue Friday, July 17th and Saturday, July 18th with the conference closing session on Sunday morning, July 19th.

COMMUNITY SESSION PRESENTATIONS
TOPIC GUIDELINES FOR COMMUNITY SESSION PRESENTATIONS:
The Programming Team will consider sessions that have the potential to improve the lives of those affected by albinism.
Session Topics considered may fall into one or more of the following categories:
- SCIENCE AND MEDICINE – i.e. current research, eye and skin care practices, or medical developments relevant to people with albinism.
- LIVING WITH ALBINISM – i.e. sharing lived experiences, practical strategies (“how-to” discussions), mind-body wellness, or insights from underrepresented and intersecting identities.
- EDUCATION / SCHOOLING – i.e., IEPs/504 plans, Orientation & Mobility training, classroom accommodations, resource sharing, or educational transitions.
- EXPANDED CORE CURRICULUM – i.e., topics involving sports and leisure activities, self-advocacy, technology use, independent living skills, or career preparation.
- ALBINISM IN THE WORKPLACE – i.e., sharing professional experiences, transitioning into the workforce, workplace accommodations, or career development.
- FORUMS / CONNECTIONS – i.e., open dialogue, peer connection, and community-building.
To provide comprehensive programming for our diverse audience, presenters will be asked to indicate their intended audience(s) listed below:
- First-Time NOAHCon Attendees
- Returning NOAHCon Attendees
- Older Adults with Albinism (55+yrs)
- Adults with Albinism (30+yrs)
- Young Adults with Albinism (18-30yrs)
- Teens and Tweens with Albinism (12-18yrs)
- School-age Children with Albinism (6-12yrs)
- Parents / Grandparents / Caregivers
- Professionals
- Other
PLEASE NOTE: NOAH reserves the option to record sessions to be shared with a virtual audience in the future. Presenters should indicate in their proposal any desire to share their presentation virtually (live or recorded) as well as in person.
COMMUNITY SESSION PRESENTATION POLICIES:
- NOAHCon 2026 retains the right to schedule presentations at any designated time slot in the schedule during the presentation days of Friday to Saturday, July 17-18, 2026.
- Unauthorized recordings, filming, or photography in the presentation rooms is prohibited by presenters and attendees.
- Sessions are 40 or 70 minutes in length, depending on schedule availability.
- Presenters should arrive at their designated speaking location at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled start time. (At the conference location 30 minutes prior to start time.)
- Presenters should exit the presentation room once their session has concluded in order to provide enough set-up time for the presenters of the following session.
SESSION SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
The following information will be requested for session consideration:
- Name(s) of presenter(s) (Panel discussions will be considered)
- Include title, email, and contact telephone number for each presenter
- Working Title of proposed presentation (100 characters or less)
- Topic Category
- Description of presentation (4-6 sentences)
- Desired Outcomes of presentation (one to three main objectives)
- Target Audience
- Attach bio/headshot for all presenters
- Include any online links to relevant media and any information on past presentations on this topic
NOTE: By submitting a proposal, you grant NOAH the right to use the submitted materials for purposes related to conference planning, promotion, and distribution.
*Note: incomplete proposals will not be considered!

Proposals must be submitted through the NOAHCon 2026 Call for Presentations Form.

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT SESSION PROPOSALS:
Wednesday, October 15, 2025 by 5pm EST
Notifications of acceptance will be sent in mid-December.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the potential volume of submissions and limited capacity for presentation at NOAHCon 2026, your session may not be selected for presentation at this event. NOAH may consider your session for a future virtual or regional event.
SCIENTIFIC PRESENTATIONS & POSTERS
In our continued effort to educate the NOAH community, we are excited to offer this opportunity for authors to share information with conference attendees.
SCIENTIFIC PRESENTATION & POSTER POLICIES:
The Programming Team will consider abstracts that demonstrate the potential to improve the lives of those affected by albinism. NOAH reserves the right to review and accept abstract submissions for poster presentation.
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
For poster consideration, please submit the following:
- Contact Information for Author(s), including:
- Name, Affiliation, email, telephone number
- Abstract Title (100 characters or less)
- Description of abstract including background, methods, and results. (Total 500 words or less.)
HOW TO SUBMIT ABSTRACTS:
Abstracts must be submitted through the NOAHCon 2026 Abstract Submission Form.
